Pope Hammerhead Ba22d LED lamp 7W

The Pope Hammerhead owes its name to its shape. It is round but not quite. Equipped with today’s LED technology it is the perfect, sustainable replacement for the Testa Martello lamp. Especially made for the Spider lamps by Joe Colombo.

One side of the lamp is slightly see-through with a mat finish. The other side is opal which prevents the light from shining through. Depending on how you place the light bulb you create your desired light effect. With only 7 watts the renewed Hammerhead by Pope provides a dimmable, warm ambience light that will last for 15.000 hours.

The design

Uniquely shaped

Round, but not quite. Hence the name.
Pope’s Hammerhead has an unique shape.

Brass socket

Distinctive for the light sources from Pope is the usage of brass as material for the lamp socket.

One side see-through

Pope’s Headlight has an opal side and a darker, non translucent side. This feature makes it perfect for lighting a desk.

The Hammerhead fits perfectly in the Spider lamp by Joe Colombo for Oluce. These Spider fixtures – a series of table lamps and floor lamps – won the Compasso d’Oro award back in 1967. Because of the wide shape of the Hammerhead, the light spreads evenly across the table or floor.

The packaging of the lamp is based on the original Pope box. The main color is red, as a reference to the original logo.
The ocher yellow and turquoise were inspired by an authentic Pope signboard.

The grey foam is the best protection we can offer. Together with the sturdy cardboard, the foam makes sure your lamp is safely packed.

On the packaging, you can find the technical specifications of the lamp, as well as the history of the brand. Everything you need to know about your new lamp is right there on the side of the box.
